Why would People Potential invest a Saturday morning taking all its trainers through its design stages? Because quality does not happen by accident.
Our practitioners’ working breakfast meeting for Quarter 2 on July 4 saw us huddled around a boardroom table. The objective: to ensure that we are all on the same page and speaking the same language when it comes to People Potential’s design principles. Fortified by chicken pie, noodles, nuts and seeds, fruit, lemon-drizzle cake, we dug in!
In our consultancy, programme design is not just about creating slides, activities or content. It is about protecting the thinking behind every learning experience we create. When all our practitioners understand the same design stages, we are better able to deliver consistent quality to clients, regardless of who designs or facilitates the programme. This places ownership of quality where it matters most: in the hands of our practitioners.
With a shared design language, collaboration becomes easier, faster, and more disciplined. When a programme needs to be upgraded, or when the original designer is not available, the work does not need to begin from zero. The design philosophy is already understood and carried by the wider team. This is especially important when timelines are tight. With our proprietary AI tool, experienced practitioners can design with speed while still maintaining the integrity of a programme’s objectives.
Slides can be copied. Content can be copied. Activities can be copied. But the thinking behind strong programme design is much harder to copy. That is why our design tools and processes – not just our training materials – remain one of our strongest competitive advantages.
Oh, and the bonus? The food arranged for us, was delicious!
