Code of Conduct

This Code of Conduct outlines behaviours that are expected from all People Potential (hereby: “PP”) representatives (hereby: “PPers”), including practitioners and associates, the business development team (BD), the business operations team (BizOps), marketing and finance, including those engaged by PP on ad-hoc basis, (hereby included in the umbrella term: “all PPers” – due to their being representatives of PP), in their dealings with, but not limited to: clients, client bodies and client participants (past, current or potential), and non-clients: other industry players and members of the public; whether in person or other modes of communication: written, verbal, virtual or otherwise, at all times and events – formal or informal.

Integrity and Objectivity

1. As representatives of People Potential, all PPers are expected to:

  • Maintain independence and objectivity in their professional activities.
  • Avoid soliciting, or accepting any gift, benefit, compensation, or consideration that reasonably could be expected to compromise their own or participant’s independence and objectivity (this includes any form of bribery and corruption).
  • Act with integrity (alignment of words and actions), competence, diligence, respect, and in an ethical manner with the public, clients, prospective clients, trainees, clients’ employees, colleagues in the profession, and other participants in the relevant training and development markets.
  • Manage risks and ensure compliance with the law of the land.
  • Avoid being physically or romantically involved with any participant or client for at least 2 years after the last professional interaction.

2.Professional Competence

As representatives of People Potential, all PPers are expected to:

  • Use reasonable care and exercise independent professional judgement when conducting training evaluation, providing recommendations, undertaking HRDC requirements, and engaging in other professional activities.
  • Accurately represent professional credentials, qualifications, experience, and ability.

3. Professional Behaviour

As representatives of People Potential, all PPers are expected to:

  • Place the integrity of the profession and the interests of participants or clients above their own personal interests.
  • Recognise the rights and dignity of each individual they work with.
  • Refrain from any form of communication that might come across as unethical, suggestive, sexual, political, religious, racial, gender-biased or extremist. This includes any communication in training material, during any training program, or on social media platforms that represent them as a PPer.
  • Promptly make a full and fair disclosure of all matters that could reasonably be expected to impair their independence and objectivity towards clients, prospective clients, and participants.
  • Refrain from engaging in any conduct or communication involving dishonesty, fraud, or deceit or commit any act that reflects adversely on their or People Potential’s reputation, integrity or competence.
  • Avoid knowingly misrepresenting People Potential, its people and its values.
  • Extend professional courtesy to all potential stakeholders, maintaining composure and being mindful of language and demeanour
  • Abstain from derogatory comments or discussions concerning PP, PP’s Programmes, PP’s Processes and even fellow PPers in both internal and external conversations

4. Confidentiality

As representatives of People Potential, all PPers are expected to:

  • Comply with all copyright laws and governing regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality concerning information gathered from participants or clients and take reasonable steps to prevent unauthorised access to such information. A similar confidentiality should also be maintained for People Potential’s information, including copyright content.
  • Do not record (audio or video) any interactions, internal or external, virtual or otherwise, without prior consent from all stakeholders.

Important: If you are uncertain of any action that could breach this Code of Conduct, please check with a senior PP practitioner or member of the Leadership Team.
